I think the offense will be in place for a Big 12 North Title Run. And I BOLIEVE in the new defense with Coach Pelini. I do expect a new attitude too. So, while the Huskers may not be the front runner for the North I do think they will have a new found respect in the conference. LOL, who was the the player from MiZZou that said the husker D was kid stuff last year?

Momentum, it all depends on how the Huskers are playing leading up to the Mizzou game. I bolieve that if the Huskers can beat Mizzou the North will belong to the Big Red once again. The first true test will be Va Tech. at home and then Mizzou the next week. Va Tech has some talent (and issues), but if the Huskers can win that game convincingly the momentum for the season will be set...

The Va Tech and Mizzou games will probably make or break the season. If the Huskers are fortunate to win both they should win the Big 12 North and go into the Big 12 Championship game with a Top 10 ranking (maybe higher?) It is sad to say that split would be acceptable, but at this point I believe most Husker Fans would be cool with that. Now, should the Huskers lose both those games with a new staff and the cloud from last year....
Well, lets not go there! BTW, The media has picked the Huskers 3rd in the North! We are behind Mizzou and KU. Whatcha think about that? http://www.journalstar.com/articles/...a575255181.txt |

There is a lot of work yet to be done. I think that they will be better than last year, but I'm not expecting any miracles. I think Nebraska will finish 3rd in the north behind Missouri and Kansas. I think they will go 7-5 in the regular season. I don't see Nebraska beating Oklahoma, Virginia Tech, Missouri, Kansas, or Texas Tech.
