They should be quite a bit better than Western Kentucky. Their QB is the 4th rated pro style QB heading into the NFL. And, he is from Nebraska! Makes me wonder why the Huskers did not land him. Anyway, their offense should be much better than last weeks opponent. But, they will want to throw the ball around a bit more.

So, this week the Blackshirts will have a good tune up for the Washington game. Lets hope the young LB's can keep up.

Great start to the year. Of course it was the first game and there is always room for improvement. Was a little surprised to see Taylor start. Have they lost all confidence in Lee or are they looking at the big picture of what will be needed to go into the Big 1o and get started with that killer schedule for the first 2 years? Talk about jumping into the fire in joining a new league. What I way to start out, having to play all the big dogs in the first year.
Anyway, thought Taylor did well, but when under fire, have a concern whether he can get the job done. He had 2 opportunities in the 2 minute offense in the first half and went 3 and out, and his passes were not close. 3 of them off the mark and 1 that should have been caught but was dropped.
Green did well as well. A little choppy with the running but 5-6 passing and that's good. Lee, came in and did quite well considering he was demoted to 3rd string and played with a lot of the third string guys. He went 3-4 passing and ran with a lot of determination. Thought he played really well and deserves to be a higher rated quarterback. Especially after the way he performed Saturday as well as the bowl game.
Well that is my take. What does anyone else think?

Zac Lee or Cody Green? Taylor Martinez? Hey maybe Brion?

Zac Lee seems the obvious pick. He knows the play book the best. Does not make as many mistakes. How much has Cody improved? Taylor Martinez was awesome in the spring game, could he leap them all? And, Brion has been impressive too?

Since kickoff is less than 3 weeks away I thought it would be cool to get some of your pre season thoughts and predictions.

My thought is that the Huskers will be better overall this year than last year. But, I do NOT expect the Blackshirts to be the same without Suh. But I DO expect the Husker O to be much better! First, the team is healthy, second, there is added quality depth, and finally they have another year under their belts. The Husker O returns what 10 starters?

My Predition? That is tough to say. I see 2 obvious road blocks on raod games, at Washington on September 18th and at aTm on November 20th. Then we can no forget the RED OUT ACROSS THE WORLD GAME against TEXAS on October 16th. But, that is a home game and while not an easy win I do expect the Big Red to win that game.

So, I see the Huskers being 13-1 and possibly winning the National Championship!

What do you think and predict?
