So it’s finally here. The mid level bowl that I said you would be in. Yes I know it’s the top of the mid level. YEH!!!!!

I haven’t heard very much about this bowl match up. The feeling I get, is that Husker fan thinks Arizona is beneath them and don’t belong on the same field. You guys think just showing up it’s an automatic win. Your lack of excitement for this game just shows the Husker fan arrogance in full effect. Yes I know you should be in the Fiesta bowl.

One second here, ref`s against us there, lack of discipline over there, everyone is against Husker nation.

You know, a championship caliber team would have won that game. A championship team wouldn’t have kicked the ball out of bounds and the lack of discipline that has been there all year, wouldn’t have reared its ugly head at the most inopportune time. A championship team would have scored at least one touchdown and closed the game out the way it should have.

So Husker fan, CHECK yourself. Your exactly where you should be.

Having arguably the best defense in the country when they want to be, (Texas&Oklahoma) and having possibly one of the most inept offenses in the land adds up to the Holiday Bowl. YEH!!!!!!!

I think you guys should put the kool-aid down and actually look at this Arizona team. I think your going to get more than your expecting.

I don`t think Arizona gets the same effort that Texas and Oklahoma saw. The defense obviously will keep the game close. But, that pathetic offense should put one last smile on my face. So, you know what I`m going to say.

Hold on a minute, I’m still trying to finish the crow I’ve been eating. Trying to get down the Wildcat and Buffalo with it is a little time consuming.

OK I’m done. Now for the congrats. 9-3 and the North title, better than I expected.

Now for Texas, I know you guys think your defense is going to win this one for you. I beg to differ. As if I would say anything else. I just don`t see how you are going to get enough points on the board. This Texas team has everything that none of the other Big 12 teams you played had. Their over all team speed in all 3 phases will be half the difference and Colt will be the other half. You guys have played back ups or first year starter in all Big 12 games except for one. Not to mention you guys never really dominated any of them. Reesing is the only multi year starter you faced and he had a pretty good game if I remember correctly. So to think that you will be able to stop the winningest QB in college football history is just the kool-aid talking. Colt`s experience and just the fact that he will be the best player on the field (no disrespect to Mr. Suh) is a recipe for a Husker smack down.

I know you think because of what you did to Oklahoma you will be able to do it against Texas. If you take off the red glasses and put down that glass of kool-aid down you would be able to see that you stopped a Oklahoma offense with almost its whole offensive line gone and a first year QB that couldn`t get out of his own way. Your offense was really only able to muster 3 points. Yes I know you scored a touchdown, but that was only because the defense made a play. So just enjoy what the Huskers have been able to accomplish. Don`t let this beat down get you discouraged. The sun will come up on Sunday.

First I just want to say, great game last week. The Huskers finally put a complete game together and really looked pretty good.

This week is for the North and to see who gets the privilege of getting destroyed in the Big 12 championship by Texas.

 I haven’t heard very much crap talking about this weeks game which is a little strange. Conventional wisdom says the Huskers should win this one by at least 2 touchdowns. You know what I’m going to say to that. I’m going to use Husker fan wisdom again.

Kansas St. beat Iowa St. in Ames. Iowa St. beat the Huskers in Lincoln. So all wisdom points to a Kansas St. win.

Hold on a second, I have to get these feathers out of my mouth. The crow I `m eating is a little under cooked. I have to give it to you. That was a great effort against OU and as Bo tells us it’s not about production as much as it’s about results. Who cares what it looks like. A “W” is a “W” (humble pie for me)

I was at the game and you guys were awesome. It was so loud my ears are still ringing. I have been to many games and it has never been that loud. Good job Husker fan.

Now about this week, It`s obvious your defense will give you every opportunity to win this game. Unfortunately your offense has a lot to be desired. Barely able to muster about 13 to 14 points a game probably will not be enough. Strength against strength and weakness against weakness make for a close one. I think home field gives KU the win. Not to mention, Kansas beat Iowa St. in Lawrence and Iowa St. Beat you guys in Lincoln. That means Kansas should win, right?

Man you guys are so lucky that Baylor gave you the game. They played like crap made to many mistakes. DO YOU HEAR HOW STUPID THAT SOUNDS. So stop the whining about Iowa State game.

I said last week that I felt like I was in the twilight zone. I think we all are. That offense of yours is putrid. It`s obvious the freshman is the answer. NOT. Yeah I know he will improve little by little. Its not going to be enough. This season has fallen back to Billy`s mediocrity. Watson is just a clone of Billy. Stubborn, arrogant, hard headed. Whatever it is with Watson is just not working. Thirteen points against an out manned Baylor team isn`t going to get you where you want to go. Ah, it is what it is.

So now Oklahoma comes to town. A better overall defense than even yours. An offense with actual play makers. Sounds like my humble pie has every ones mouth full. I haven`t heard anything from Husker fan. A beat down is coming. Fast, hard and decisive.

I feel like I’m in the twilight zone. Has Billy come back or what? This team reeks of Billy and that Cosgrove guy. Even I’m disgusted. Bo needs to take control of the whole team, offense included.

My questioned got answered for the most part. Zac isn`t ready. Roy can`t survive in the big boy games. The defense, while I still agree their pretty good. They can`t make the needed stops. Put it all together and humble pie alamode has been served.

Now for that debacle against my Cyclones. I`ve heard you guys say we just suck to we gift wrapped it for them. I think you actually believe that the Cyclone had nothing to do with the win. You think those 8 turnovers had nothing to do with their defense creating them. I beg to differ. Not to mention if the Husker had all those turnovers and blew them out. You would be telling me how you destroyed them. So while the score didn`t reflect it. You got beat. 8 turnovers and score board = WIN You didn`t give them anything.

Now while I would love go with the underdog again. I think you guys get a little bit of sunshine in Waco.

Here we go again.

Ya know what I`m going to say.

Can Zac produce in a big game? NO

Can Roy handle the pounding? NO

Can the defense stop a quality offense? Kind of.

The numbers show you held Tech in check. But I think we all saw the disaster that is Husker football. I know, I know, the defense is supposedly one of the best in the country. I tend to agree. But Tech did pretty much what ever it wanted in the first half. They got the lead and then went conservative in the second half. Even when you guys got that last meaningless TD, they flipped the switch and went right down and scored. Game over.

It seemed like the Huskers got caught up in their own hype. Like I said, beating up on tomato cans doesn`t make you a good team. A good team doesn`t struggle against weaker opponents like Missouri and Tech (according to you guys) and finishes when their suppose to. This team still doesn`t know how to win.

This QB controversy is just another ingredient in my recipe for “HUMBLE PIE”

Calling for Cody is just like Husker fan, impatient. I hope you do put in the freshman, more chances for mistakes.

The running game is my next ingredient for upset. Roy can`t handle the pounding. The backups lack of experience is obvious. Not having a running game isn`t going to help either QB.

Lastly, stop blaming the officials. This team is so undisciplined it`s laughable.

So Iowa State comes to town. You guys should destroy them. Somehow I think your going to get a little surprise.

This is it!  The first BIG 12 Test for the Huskers.  I believe in perfect weather conditions the Tigers would win by 14.  But, apparently there will be rain all day long and for the game too.  This will make for one soggy field which will negate the speed of Missouri's offense.  Atleast to a certian extent ;)

The weather will definetely favor the Huskers.  But they will choke as they did at Va Tech.  The Tigers will pop for a couple long plays for touchdowns.  The Huskers will move the ball and get field goals. 

Again, on the road, that wont cut it!

First I would like to thank all the Husker fans I met down in Kansas City. I was in the middle of a RED storm with my Virginia Tech gear on and all of them treated me great, even during the last two minutes of the game. Thanks again.

Now to the game, you know how I love to tell you I told you so. So I will. I wasn’t expecting that kind of game, but “SCOREBOARD” I do agree with Bo. It doesn’t matter who got outplayed or outgained. It’s all about the “W”

Let it go. This team just doesn’t know how to win the big games yet. Your still a year or two away.

It was obvious that you’re ready for the big boys. So conference play is going to be a lot of fun.

All three South teams the Huskers play, Missouri and Kansas look to be more of a challenge than first thought. I’m going to give you the other three North games. 8-4 still looks pretty good to me.

As he stood there with a look of confusion, he finally tells me that the Huskers will have no turnovers and not let the Hokies make any special team plays. Then finally after I pushed for a logical reason, he tells me they`ll just have more points at the end. Man I love the sickness.

Nothing about match ups or game planning. Just typical kool-aid drunkenness. No rhyme or reason as to why they will win, just the sickness in full effect.

As I watched the game in what felt like a punch bowl of that Husker kool-aid. I was reminded over and over why I can’t join in the sickness.

While I’m all for enthusiasm, no sense of reality in what we were watching is mind- boggling. While the score was very lopsided, FAU moving up and down the field on that vaunted Husker defense put a smile on my face. Bo didn`t seem to be very happy either. I can`t wait for the real season to start next week. Claim vanilla all you want. Blacksburg won`t be pretty.

The anti-husker is in the house and the kool-aid is in full effect. You Husker fans kill me. All I hear is how your going anywhere from 10-2 to 12-0. “Child please”

Even though you have a new Quarterback, you lost Q, you have no real receivers and weak line- backers you probably will have a better than mediocre season. Reality tells me BO will make that happen.

Hello Husker Fan,

Watching that debacle last Saturday put a smile on my face. Not because you were destroyed, “NOT”. Of course because you were destroyed by Booger. But mainly because it vindicated everything I’ve been telling you all year. Hell I `ve been saying it since Billy took over way back when.

The PINK shirts are everything I thought they were. The Offense is nothing even close to what anybody or I thought it would be. The coaches seemed to be almost as confused as Billy and Kevie were back in the day.

Let Helu run the ball. Lucky is obviously meant to be 3^rd down back. Use Castille on the goal line and be done with it. This rotating crap isn’t working.

Go back and watch the last 3 games from last year. Get that option read Offense going the way it did before. Ganz can run that efficiently and move the chains with his legs and his arm. This Offense doesn’t have the talent to play power football against anybody. So stop trying.

Back to those PINK shirts. I actually think they are worse than last year’s team. I know the stats say their better, but they SUCK. How can Bo scheme with less talent than he’s ever had anywhere. He can’t. They need to get back to basics and knock somebody in the mouth.

Well now that I’ve thrown all this at you again. Lets all call it what it is.

Another year of mediocrity and disappointment.

For the most part all the Husker freaks have seen the light and realize it will be a long year. And I will continue to remind you weekly.

Hello Husker fan enjoy it while you can. Nothing has changed.

You can also thank Kansas St. for that win. I think their coaches are as arrogant as Callahan and Co. To have on film how the spread option attack has completely dismantled and brought the pink shirts and Husker nation to its knees over the last two months and not use it some how or at all is about STUPID.

Prince and Co. not having Freeman run or move the pocket and not spread the pink shirts out just baffled me. So give them a big thank you.

Can November 23 get here any faster? As much as I enjoy Husker nation being humbled the way they have this year. I agree this coaching staff has to go. It’s way past overdue.

I will be here next week to tell you how you’re going to lose to Colorado.

I am almost at a loss for words. Everything I have been giving Husker fans crap about for years came to a head last Saturday. Its funny how Husker fans sees it all clearly now.  Although it is PAINFULLY obvious.

This team and coaching staff are the laughing stock of nfootball. Even Notre Dame doesn’t get embarrassed like the Huskers have been.

The Kansas game was just a crisp slap of reality. Getting spanked that way was the icing on the cake.  The only question is will a new coach make a difference?

On to Kansas St. I expect it to be a little tighter game, but who really knows with this Husker team. This Defense is so bad, it looks as though they quit a month ago; Freeman may look like Dan Marino by the end of the day. The Husker Offense is so Jekyll and Hyde anything is possible. Although, the coaches will probably be the final nail that seals this loss.  And, their fate!

Oh, here is some humor to lighten things up.

All I can say is WOW.

Control the game for three quarters and not make the adjustments to stop that read option that the last three teams have destroyed you with just proves once again that the coaches suck and have to go.

Oh no, the players aren’t getting off that easy. When you see the same alignment and play run over and over, why wouldn’t the players make an adjustment? And don’t tell the coaches wouldn’t allow it. Somebody make a read and make the play.

I was at that thrashing two years ago in Lawrence and I’ll be there again this Saturday to watch this thrashing. Blitz, stunt, do whatever you want. It’s not going to matter. Kansas will run over, through and around that slow defense, just like everyone else has.

Well now that Keller is gone, it might just be a blessing in disguise. Ganz having three years in the system and being more mobile should be good for a few more points

Even with all that, nothing is going to change.

Well, to say the Huskers SUCK would be an understatement...
 
Even with the increase in intensity in the first half of the A&M game it really didn’t matter, it was made irrelevant by the second half performance of the players and coaches. Regardless of how well the team plays, the coaches will find a way to continue this freefall. Their inability to make any kind of adjustments is an absolute joke.

Now for Texas, the Huskers being a 3-touchdown underdog validates all that I have been saying. The Huskers will probably be underdogs the rest of the season. What’s worse is the Huskers will give up over 500 yards again and lose by 30 points to Texas. Just another routine woodshed thrashing you have become accustomed to. What a beautiful year this has turned out to be. I couldn’t have asked for more.

WOW, that was an embarrassing butt whuppin the cowboys put on you. Running over, around and through you and scoring at will. I do have to say that was probably a worse loss than the Texas Tech loss a couple of years ago.

It was really just the speed factor, and the Huskers were on the short end of the stick again. I have been telling you for over two seasons now that the talent and speed do not match up with anybody else in the conference. Except maybe Iowa St. and Baylor.

Now on to the crying and gnashing of teeth over the debacle that is Husker football. Getting rid of Pederson and bringing in Osborne is definitely the right move, but it doesn’t solve the problems you have right now. Even when Callahan and his staff are canned after the Colorado game, it just means your 3 or 4 years away. On the other hand, that probably will be better than what you have now.

On to A&M. Do you really think that facing almost the same type of team as you did last week, that the results will be any different. Not to mention all the chaos going on in Huskerville. A&M is going to run all over you, beat you down and keep the order the way it is.

Can you say 4-8 and no bowl game?

Hello Husker Fan,

This is starting to get monotones. Getting exposed on a weekly basis for your lack of speed and talent is becoming comical. It’s a sad day in college football when a Cornhusker football team looks this BAD. Even back in the 80`s when they didn’t have the speed to beat the Miami’s of the world, they still won 10 or 11 games and competed on every play.

This team looks sadly lost. Whether it’s the players or the coaches really doesn’t matter at this point. Getting out played the way they have the 5 games is a complete embarrassment.

Letting the 93^rd or whatever ranked defense Missouri had, hold you out of the end zone and 150 yards under your average is a JOKE. Giving up 600 yards of offense is starting to look like the norm instead of the exception. Bowl game, there won’t be no stinking bowl game.

Now to Oklahoma St. Here comes another spread offense, and this one runs the ball better than it throws. Last year down in Stillwater I was there to watch the Cowboys tear a decent defense apart. This PINKSHIRT defense will get shredded and destroyed just like the last 5 weeks. It’s really become a sad state of affairs in Husker land.

Cool aid, rose glasses, tradition, pride or Memorial Stadium are irrelevant at this point.

Are you kidding me? Mediocrity would be a step up. This team, mainly the Defense is the worst team I can remember. Including the 5-6 year. At least that team played with Husker Pride and intensity.

Its pretty obvious that the coaching staff doesn’t know how or want to motivate this team, not to mention teaching them fundamentals. This staffs game planning for the lack of speed and talent they have just shows they don’t understand their team or college football. Forcing the schemes aren’t working and the inability to adjust are almost laughable. 

I don’t see any reason why the Pink shirts will get any better. If anything it will probably get worse before it gets better. With conference play starting the Huskers will be the slower and less talented team most of the time. So Husker faithful, go out back start up the cool aid still. You’re going to need gallons of it. The carnage will only continue.

RESTORE THE ORDER. It will never happen as long as Callahan and Cosgrove are in charge. Husker Fan, reality can be a real slap in the face. You might as well start covering up now.

Even if you beat Iowa St. this week, nothing will have changed. Lucky for you they may be the only team in conference you can out talent. But then again, maybe not.

Hello Husker fan,

Well, far be it for me to say I told you so. But, I told you so. So much for top ten recruiting classes. Their talent and speed were once again exposed for being mediocre. Sure you can hang with the Nevada’s and Ball States of the world. But that SLOW NON-TACKLING Big Ten style Defense is going to make this a long year for you and a great one for me.

I would officially like to call for Congrove’s head right now. He was bad at Wisconsin and he’s even worse here. He obviously doesn’t teach fundamentals like tackling and can’t make adjustments on the fly, let alone at half time. The inability to adjust in big games has haunted this team from day one. I doubt it’s going to change anytime soon.

Black shirts, they don’t deserve any Black shirts. Take every one of them and give them the PINK ones they deserve to be wearing. Cosgrove or no Cosgrove, that effort was pathetic. Pink Shirts all around I say.

Like I said before, its déjà vu. Lose to USC by 18 pts. Go through the conference and lose 2or 3 more games. Get your rear end handed to you in the Conference Championship. Assuming you win the north. Then lose to a Pac 10 team or a SEC team in another mediocre bowl game. With the lack of real talent and real speed, 8 or 9 wins would be a blessing.

So drink that cool-aid and start feeling good about yourself again once they handle Ball State. (Ball st. allowed over 500 yds. Against Navy last week.) Reality will raise its ugly head again on October 6, At Missouri.

Well now I’ve heard it all. The cool-aid is flowing freely and the sickness that is Husker fan is in full affect.

I actually had a Husker fan explain why the Huskers would beat USC. He told me that because USC lost to Oregon St. last year and that Oregon St. lost to Cincinnati this year, and the Huskers are obviously better than Cincinnati. The Huskers will beat USC. He must be drunk from the cool-aid.

Husker fan you squeaked by a Wake Forest team missing their starting Quarterback and best Defensive player. Your team was exposed once again for their lack of speed and mediocre talent. This feels like deja vu.

Just like last year, the word of the week is SPEED, SPEED, and more SPEED.

USC is simply a faster and more talented team that held back last year because they knew they had to come to Lincoln this year. No need to hold back now.

Husker fan your slow Big Ten style Defense and your gun slinging Quarterback will keep you from fulfilling what you think is your destiny. ANY KIND OF REAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Hello husker Fan,

I hope your not reading too much into beating up a smaller, weaker kid. A lopsided win is exactly what was supposed to happen. I know the cool-aid drinkers think everything is great in the land of RED. I have to tell you it’s not from what I saw. Yes, I was at the game. I saw a gun slinging Quarterback and possibly the worst receiver play anyone has seen in a while. Keller had to be pulled back when it looked like the wheels were going to come off after that interception return for a touchdown. Purify coming back should help a little. It’s a good thing the Offensive line and Running backs came to play.

The defense while stifling has to improve up front. Not being able to pressure the Quarterback without the Linebackers will not get it done against kids your own size. Don’t let me forget that husker coverage. Even with the new Safety and Cornerback they still SUCK. Again thank the linebackers. If the Linebackers have to carry this Defense, it will eventually catch up with them. 

Wake Forest should put up a better fight this week. Their Quarterback getting hurt just figures. The luck of the corn strikes again. That’s OK the real test is next week.
